I just finished binging the final series of Orange Is The New Black. The new series touches upon the tragic reality of immigrants in the US being kept in abhorrent conditions in detention centres across the nation. In a world where Trump's horrifically inhumane stance on immigration is leaving the bodies of young families washing up on the shores of the Rio Grande, this song, whilst written nearly 40 years ago, is chillingly more relevant today than ever. This stripped back rework was released posthumously in 2014. A beautiful song, with a harrowing story to tell.
