Song of the Week #45: Teyana Taylor - We Got Love

A lot has happened in the last 10 days and it all feels pretty overwhelming, so this week's song is a positive one. Taylor sings about true, romantic and familial, black love, a narrative that RnB is often robbed of in favour of tales of sex, cheating and broken hearts. Emphasised by the striking portrait of her carrying a child in the artwork, and the video very sweetly features her family too. Produced by non-other than Kayne West, the song reminds us that beyond the quirks of his persona, West is actually an insanely talented music maker.
