Song of the Week #7: K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade - Suro Nipa

This is the first thing I've ever heard from K.O.G and The Zongo Brigade, but having done a little research, the duo have clearly been making waves in the North for a good few years: appearing at Leeds festival on the BBC Introducing stage in 2016 and steadily gaining success from there. Hailing from Sheffield, they bring the joy of jazz and West African sounds together in a way that I usually only associate with artists from SE London (much to my great shame, as a northerner myself!). Such a good example of why my London-centric listening bubble needs bursting.
