Song of the Week #68: J Rick - Short

HBD me! It's my 27th birthday on Monday and this tune is taking me into a weekend of socially distanced, low key fun. J Rick aka Jordan Christie, is London based artist and producer. Whilst he is very much embedded in the London rap scene with co-conspirator Octavian and those in Essie Gang, his solo project release last year, No Retreat No Surrender, sits comfortably in the dance music world. Taking influence from a myriad places - everything from jazz, trap, house, afrobeat, latin, techno and more, there is so much texture in his music it is an absolute joy to listen.
